This product is just wild to me, it’s a total admission of failure for the kind of writer I hate the most. Undisciplined, uninspired, unenthused writers need to be chained to a desk to complete their craft, they don’t like to write more than they like mindlessly scrolling their goyfeed timelines. There’s a kind of thing I heard a term for but forgot, where people overbuy baubles and products as a way to motivate themselves to follow through on some goal. It sounds like they're trying to use these fallacies as "hacks" to motivate them to do something.It doesn't really work though. It's all about pain. @WashedOutGundamPilot @PunishedD @RustyCrab Only reason those new dos pcs are catching on is the spiteful parasites (jews mostly) latching onto retro gaming pcs as the new investment scam.Just skyrocketing the price so they can use them as an excuse for how they make money selling drugs, kids, and prostitutes. Same shit they try with vhs and comic books.Would honestly prefer a new made 95 or xp machine since they're harder to emulate but these days you have things like dgvoodoo to fix most the issues.

@WashedOutGundamPilot @Paultron @nugger old IBM keyboards are kino.As I remember it, there used to be adapters from that old huge keyboard plug to the newer, smaller ps/2 connector.And then, in the mid 2000's, when USB became more ubiquitous, there were a lot of ps/2 to USB adapters, and since the keyboard signal is so simple, I remember we tried using a dim to ps/2 adapter and then a ps/2 to USB adapter and plugging an old keyboard to a newer computer USB port and it worked.So, yeah, probably an intern or the IT guy just plugged an adapter to the other and let your boss using his old keyboard while a monstrous contraption was hiding behind the PC.

@marine @roboneko @caekislove @WashedOutGundamPilot @shedinja @DocScranton back when I worked with IT support, a guy who was a client of our shop had bought the Asus eeePC, the 7" first one that just had been released, brand new, it was an import and he paid a ton of money.This guy contacted me to set up the IT stuff in his new apartment, bypassing the store, and I spent about two weeks setting up wifi coverage, fixing his computers, setting a box on his living room so he could play pirated movies on his TV, etc.At the end, the bill I was charging him was pretty high, so I asked if he was willing to trade the eeePC for the service, and he agreed. And that's how I had a laptop at a time laptops were prohibitely expensive.That shit lasted me for many years, and I actually liked the OS that came with it (even though I changed it to some Linux distributions later on, eeebuntu and I think ElementaryOS also started as a distro for these mini notebooks). It was amazing, but then it's main board failed years later and it wasn't worth it trying to fix it.
