       @lamp doesn't look like a python problem.  Maybe try a packet capture and look for differences?

       @lamp files must be send with a 2xx status code. 404 won't do. If you want to show a video when a page not found, return an HTML page with error message and 404 code and on that page embed the video (that itself will be served with code 200).
