The majority of uses do not like GitLab's new UI.https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/409005Look at the number of 👎 reactions! This has already rolled out to production and everyone is using it by default (with an option to opt out, which will be removed in an upcoming release). The real question is: will they fight for the user? Will they allow users to decide whether they want the different UI, or will they force it upon everyone?

@adam Reverting the UI would cause distress to their UI developers, who have feelings too ...Will they fight for their employees (and of course managers who "approved" the whole thing in their infinite multidiscipline expertise)?

@yojimboI never suggested that they revert the UI, simply that they give users a choice. You're the only one talking about "reverting the UI" here. This is not a choice between fighting for the users or the employees either. The company can choose to support both, and that is exactly what I suggested they do in my previous toot.
