Abbot is asking all Texans to use less electricity every day and to leave their thermostats at 83 degrees every night bc the Texas power grid is a fucking joke made by greedy idiots that want to profit off the suffering of Texans. @enoch How many times will this happen in extreme weather conditions until the voters in Texas can *do* something about this?I’m sure there must be gerrymandering and other chicanery involved.

@Pagan_Animist @enoch There is... TX is a HIGHLY voter suppressed and gerrymandered (sp?) state.Only about 19% of people vote in off elections (not President or Congress) and that is just the way they like it...

@Aviva_Gary @TheActualBrian I’m far from an expert, but I worked a lot on canvassing and door-knocking in NC. Most places and people were welcoming as long as I wasn’t pushing an agenda, which I wasn't. I was genuinely interested in what they wanted to see happen.

Dubba and Karl Rove cemented the Republican majority with unplanned redistricting and easily rigged voting machines.We just got rid of those damned things too.
