I've noticed that a lot of times when people who worked on really good, either successful or cult classic games under big corps leave and found their own studios, often with a big chunk of the old dev team attached, the games just... don't come out as well.Like for example, a bunch of the people who worked on the Metroid Prime games later made Recore under their new studio and it ended up apparently being a mediocre and frustrating mess. I've read about this kind of stuff happenin time and time again, and I don't really get *why*.It's not like the big corps are necessary considering how many incredible indie games are around, so why do devs who break away from them so often flounder when working in an indie or, idk, "double-A" situation?

@hazelnot Usually I notice it the most when the team isn't the entire team that made the previous game(s). There is probably some team magic going on that breaks when a few of them are missing.
