needa refund this shit. oculus rift already has a virtual desktop bruh who tf need this. DOESNT EVEN HAVE A KEYBOARD. only advantage is it's easier to adjust the screenwell i played osu on it until oculus link froze again of course

so it must be wireless virtual desktop that ppl keep say is way better. But oculus air link is the thing I don't have problems with. Does it just have better quality? lower latency?

@lamp That's correct, quest VD. It's easier to setup and has less overhead than oculus runtime, and the desktop environment is very good (albeit I did try airlink a bit, and while idk what was up with the colors, the desktop experience is pretty similar). So given my limited testing of airlink, the only advantage I see is the lower cpu usage. Airlink for me regularly bounces around ~10%, while VD is around 4%. VD is very active and also has a few features, I can try screenshotting some of 'em

@RoboMWM at some point air link has stopped working with windows network sharing, so virtual desktop is my only wireless option now (unless i wanna go through the household wifi). virtual desktop only goes up to 150mbps but oculus did 200mbps. but i guess it's better, i think i see higher framerate and less latency. and bejng able to access the quest menu is nice. but it tends to hickup sometimes, maybe more than air link i dunno. the access point is right in front of me idk why i can't avoid thisi got a refund for steam virtual desktop, but funny thing is i still have the files on my computer and i can run the exe directly and it works.

@lamp I do know quest v54 update caused some major issues for vd (idk if it affected wifi for all apps) and I had to move to PTR and get v55

@lamp it does a bandwidth test when you connect, so may be why it's limiting you to that but ye
