@dogo @katnjiapus search in windows for "Network Status" and open the thing. Select "Change adapter options" under Advanced network settings. Open the properties from your current active network, there is a list with checkboxes, disable the one with "Internet Protocol Version 6" and press ok. Restart your browser and tell me if everything works

@dogo are you sure you disabled ipv6 on the correct adapter? usually it shouldnt show anything related to to IPv6 if its disabled

@Jain@blob.cat @dogo@pounced-on.me you could also set the dns resolver to something else, so that you aren't relying on isp one

@kura @dogo i suspect its the router which has issues and handout wrong dhcp leases which could be in relation to a isp malfunction rn or literally anything... so if disabling helps, i rather recommend you to ask someone for help than trying to fix it by yourself, since i get the feeling that you are not able to fix it yourself

@dogo @kura so you are saying that you already know that its an ipv6 issue? so yes, if you really wana try to fix it yourself then you can listen to kura... i wasnt just sure at which point in debugging your network you are...

@Jain @kura no, bc i tried toggling off ipv6 and testing whether sites load without any positive result. i just forgot to re-disable that part before dropping the ipconfig snapthe only thing i've personally resolved so far is that using a different DNS server solves my issue, but that doesn't quell my worries

@dogo @kura worries about what? i dont think that your isp does weird things except that they might have fucked up their ipv6 setup... and if you are saying that a different dns server fixes your issues then it might be more likely that your router delivers you a wrong ipv6 dns server

@Jain sure yeah but like, if it were the ipv6... stuff would work, dns resolving would resolve once i shut off the v6 part of it in properties, no? i may be missing somethingi tested nslookup just now again after turning off ipv6, turning off custom dns, and flushing dns cache. its peculiar the way it's pointing again to 192.168.1.1 yet it resolves one domain but not the other

@dogo well, assuming your isp fucked up dns, it would explain things... your router has a cache too...

@Jain my first thought was just "is my ISP going out of their way to block furry media now for whatever fucking reason", hence my worries

@Jain what's unfortunate is they switch their login info from defaults and make you use a crummy web portal instead, to which i also dont have the credentials to rn. not even sure if flushing is possible, so maybe i'll need to wait out an auto refresh?

@dogo ok, i recommend to lookup ipv4 & ipv6 dns servers as a temporary solution... and then calling the isp (today if possible) or tomorrow and asking them wtf is going on... oh and yes, if you wana avoid an awkward situation you might wana lookup for a random webpage which have ipv6 which is not in your cache... i always use local news papers or public media which i usually not read for such things
