@greyknight33 once you start feeling like you are holding your breath for a minute and a half very easily, there are other longer edits on youtube that I could point you towards. The great thing about the technique is that its very shallow and simple, but you will find extreme depth in it the more you do it. You will find the ability to truly relax all parts of your body while breathing deep and gaining the ability to slow down your heart as well.

@docobron well minute and a half is still rough but only 2 days in and what an improvement. plus i check my pulse during this and feels like less than a beat per second. i'll try and time in the near future.thought about getting a small stop watch to time these intervals, then don't need to worry too much about following a guide.

@docobron thanks! that is the next one on deck. was watching some vids from an olympian who analyzed the Wim Hof method with great detail. maybe this guy hits the points harder. TYFYC!

@greyknight33 yes do not stress about how long really, its not important. Also, every day is different, especially in the beginning. I remember some days I could barely make it the 60 seconds. It will come in waves, and before you know it, it will be easy. The thing that helped, was attempting to relax any part of my body that I felt tension in while doing it. I felt it in my lips, and neck at first, and jsut brought my focus to those parts. Keep breathing brother

@greyknight33 yes that is another way to do it, you ultimately do not need a guide, I just hate counting to 30 or 40 lol. but i did use a stopwatch for awhile, until i just stopped caring about the time, but certainly was obsessed with it in the beginning. its nice to feel those improvements at first before you let go, and just focus on whats going on in your body.

@greyknight33 Personally I prefer to lie down, but you can do either way. Ice baths are amazing, I just don't have a consistent way to do them at this point. For awhile I was doing them once a week, but have dropped off, but saw amazing benefits when I was doing them. One day I want to convert an ice chest into a cold plunge. Glad to hear you are moving forward with the technique. When I first got into it, I couldn't stop listening to interviews with Wim.
