       ::: What is Red Hat on about? :redhat: Red Hat: CentOS Stream will be the SOLE repository for public source code releases.Does this not alienate some Linux community users & developers?What could be the reaction to this? Rocky Linux might ponder some sort of paid service?As Red Hat limits the RHEL sources to CentOS Stream only - it makes it harder for related community enterprise Linux distributions.Red Hat is nowadays owned by IBM.        @Linux I think Red Hat is no longer what they used to be.Once they sold their company they sold their souls.Now it is only about profit and just being open source enough to not commit license violations. The alienation is only going to get worse as greed from the higher ups overtakes the need for supporting the open source community.Honestly I view them as a sinking ship. Eventually being replaced by better open source alternatives like Alma Linux, or only used in fortune 500 companies.

       @Linux What license are they thinking about releasing under a 'public source license'  GPL does not allow them to take away rights from the original GPL  license. I am sure @fsf  and Mr Stallman #RMS will have plenty to say about this.They cant take others' work, tweak  it and deny others the right to make modifications, and release it.Did they learn nothing from the #SCO debacle?
