       I keep coming back to this with more "WTF!?"Not only did your boyfriend think this was a good idea.But your family and your friends went along with it.Not one of them stopped it.Not one of them said are absolutely nuts, how can you do this to someone!?

       Similar: this happened in my extended family, but it was only a surprise engagement party when it was supposed to be an anniversary party for the parents. Still bothered me.
