       Anyone know what the law is regarding roadsigns on pavements, in England? I asked the workers who put them there and they said it was a legal requirement that they're on the pavement because otherwise motorists would drive into them. Ignoring the ridiculousness of this, treating pedestrians like they don't matter is something I'd like to see change.In a couple of hours this route will be used to pick up children from school, but it's now blocked for many of them#ActiveTravel

       @linuxlucy As I understand things, If you obstruct a footpath you are required to provide a safe signed diversion .
