       @MsHearthWitch I’ve had three or four people this week tell me how well this spell has worked for them. And it is 100% my approach to magic. You can color code your candles and your crystals and sometimes when I’m feeling boujie I do, but most of the time I just take some energy and throw and see what shakes out!

       @RavynWitch Any time I have taught someone over the last few decades of being a witch the FIRST thing I teach them is that all that "stuff" is for you, the practitioner. You only need it as much as you think you do.Does it help get in the right mindset? Sure. Is it fun? Hell yeah it is, I love boujie witchy shit with my whole heart.Is any of it required to do the work? N O P EIntent and focus is where it's at.

       @RavynWitch My addendum to that is that the association lists and whatnot are all but useless.A good many of them are based in a white, euro-centric mindset. NOTHING will work as well as a list of associations you create yourself. Different things have different meanings for different people.Personal history, geographic location, cultural associations, etc all play into our associations.#Witchcraft #WitchTips

(Which, side note, is also why so many new witches think they’ve been hexed and just spiral into that.)I think knowing the history and echoes of things can be helpful, but agree with you that most of witchcraft has been super whitewashed. And! Just because one culture thought this color meant X doesn’t mean every culture does. I could write a book on this shit. 🤣
