       @kkarhan Only IF each instance holds firm against the big boys. There are still forum boards around, but they don't dominate our interactions like they used to once fb opened up to everyone. No platform lasts forever. The fediverse is at a critical point I think. If they sell out, game over.

       @Puck EXACTLY!I specificically chose the :fediverse: with :activitypub: because I don't want to deal with the #GAFAMs - espechally #NSAbook and espechally not since :birdsite: :twitter: went to shit.@stux of all the people should've known that.I don't want to work for, with or support any of those GAFAMs and espechally not "#Meta" or whatever bs. name #Favebook gives itself.(Anyone who dares to say a# corporation can be a "#victim" of #deadnaming will get instantly blocked -period!)

       @Puck I think it feels like a betrayal and I sincerely hope @stux and others will rethink their option.If not, then he might just also sell :stuxhost: to #Azure, #AWS or #GCP and retire with the €€€€€€ made from that and not claim in announcement that ue cares aboit #privacy.
