       For a long time I have used DuckDuckGo as my default search engine, but recently I changed to Kagi. Wow! This is what search is supposed to be – fast, accurate, without junk. Suddenly the concept of a "top result" works again, because the spot is not reserved for adds. Kagi is a premium service and requires a subscription, but it's worth every cent.

       @kallekn I guess you will have to research for yourself who wrote that (very interesting) article. :-)I tried the summarizer on my last YouTube video, and it was surprisingly good.

       @anderspuck Looks interesting. Have you tested features like "Lens"? Do you get results in multiple languages? I do remember that Google initially was not good for finding Russian language sources, for example? And how much does it cost?

       @kallekn It’s $5 per month. It works fine for both Danish and Russian, and the lens feature does what you’d expect. I have used the academic lens.

       @anderspuck Sounds very interesting, but I have a problem with a subscription based search engine. Sometimes you might want to do a search in the context of your previous searches, but you might also want to perform anonymous (unbiased) searches.Ideally true (anonymous) micropayments might become an internet standard, so that you can pay for a service without revealing yourself or your history, whereby you can avoid bias and surveillance.
