       Someone literally just reported me to me—to my single-user server—for the crime of saying nothing can be done about Meta using ActivityPub. Which is a 100% factual statement. So I guess I should ban myself for saying something blatantly true.

       If I’m talking about ActivityPub, I’m talking about ActivityPub. Just the protocol. Nothing else. There’s no other topic to debate. And by the way, the reason I say this is because Meta can’t kill ActivityPub.

       @atomicpoet I personally feel that Meta joining the Fediverse will help me reconnect with many people I lost touch with when I moved away from Twitter.

       @daihard @atomicpoet My family all use FaceBook. I refuse to so I hope that perhaps this will help for us to reconnect if it works out.I personally don't see the harm in trying since it seems reversible and able to remedied with simple bans, but that's just my little ol' two cents.

       If anyone wants to Fediblock atomicpoet.org because I said that Meta is able to use ActivityPub, and that ActivityPub not only should—but will—survive Meta, go ahead.It won’t change anything, but for a brief moment, you’ll feel good about yourself.
