       Extremely popular take that some here won't like but seriously need to sit with: spelling words like a11y or l10n or i18n or m17n is bloody incomprehensible and makes you look like an absolute w4r

       It's the disappointment. Because these numberwords present this tiny mystery that you're curious to unravel, so you ask the person oh hey what does x32n mean, and they tell you and it's a computer word, it's always about computers, they came here to bother you about computers and they're using their computer and YOUR computer to do so, and you slump every part of your body and soul as they whisper these grey computer words into the goo that used to be your brain

       It's like leet speak, except you can *sort of* parse 1337 if you squint a bit, and also 1337 was for 14-year-old boys who don't know any better, whereas this wankbabble is being used by fully-grown-ass men who absolutely should know better
