what are some alternatives to nextcloud? Nextcloud is cool and good once you have it up and running but it is a pain to set up and is slow.I am looking at Seafile but it uses mysql and Cryptpad but it uses nodejs. I don't see moving from php to node as a major W.

@GNUxeava try nextcloud AIO. It's as hassle free as you can get

@GNUxeava If you find something let me know 🙈Also looking for some alternatives.NextCloud is so bloated, and even if you remove all the useless stuff you don't want it still feels slow :(Seafile seems to be a bit better, but something didn't really make me like it. Not exactly sure what it is.

@RustyCrab@clubcyberia.co wow thankswill test this on vmnextcloud was the main reason i switched from caddy to nginx as it was too difficult to wrap my head around its settings but seeing how nextcloud aio can work on reverse proxy, i can go back to caddy

@stanford@social.arclight.pro cannot do much about bloated but if you want a hassle free nextcloud setup, you can use nextcloud aioas for seafile, it isn't really a nextcloud alternative. Nextcloud can be considered as a collaboration suite whereas seafile just syncs files. As for cryptpad, the only reason i am avoiding it is node. That thing is full of security holes but seeing how cryptpad guys are focused on security, i think they know their stuff with node more than i do. As for storage, cryptpad does not use a database

@RustyCrab@clubcyberia.co eh the website itself is slow. Maybe how they handle files or maybe it is just php curse

@RustyCrab @GNUxeava Nextcloud AIO does indeed include a lot of performance improvements; I looked into setting up all the included containers myself to get the same Nextcloud performance as AIO and found it much more complex.

@HOLOCAUST @GNUxeava it still caps out at like 100 Gbps upload for me even on lan. That sucks but realistically unless you have fiber your upload speed won't be that fast to begin with.
