       I've seen countless people I've followed move from #Fosstodon to other servers over the past few days. I can't quite figure out why people are so disillusioned with it; I'd guess it's the RMS style extremists but I haven't actually seen any of them...

       Since Fosstodon moved behind #Cloudflare, I have my personal bias (against the instance, not those running it), @blake, but judging by the number of users it might be a good idea if people were flocking to smaller ones.  That is the point of fedi after all, to avoid centralization.Now, that assumed there were a significant amount of migrations and they were headed towards smaller instances.  I’ve only seen one account doing so (either and/or both) in a couple of weeks so if you have any better data I’d be glad to see.
