I do kinda wonder what it's like to be someone who's designed, developed or built something that you later realise was bad for humanity? Like, at the time it felt right, you didn't see problems with it, but later you're just like "whelp, I fucked up"I imagine it must be a very depressing and isolating feeling.(I've luckily so far never had this happen to me)

Like, we know Aza Raskin came to make that statement about infinite scrolling being bad for humanity, but like, did the developer/design who proposed push notifications come to regret it? What about the person responsible for ad-driven engagement metrics? Or the inventors of the atomic bomb? Are there other examples?

@mansr @thisismissem I knew he had CFCS didn't know he also got leaded gasoline. That's a big oof.
