       @stux so part of me wonders if this along with the iCloud activation lock on phones is a way to curb out secondary resellers and recyclers while having the added benefit of making Apple devices less appealing to steal since they are harder to flip (for now until some makes an HID randomized for these MBs)

       @stux so glad I bought myself a Framework laptop from @frameworkcomputer last year. None of this shenanigans, just one screwdriver needed to take the whole thing apart, plus a marketplace to buy replacement and even upgrade parts. Complete DIY!
