@colinsmatt11 I don't know but the best part is that Linux devteam claims this is not a bug, this sounds like a problem that no one capable of fixing wants to solve or no one can fix it because the implementation in this fs is just trash, it's even more stupid if you consider that this was supposed to be a consumer-grade filesystem for flash drives and shitphones.Ol' reliable ext2 shall be then.

@colinsmatt11 FUSE is used if your fs is vfat or exfat, i'd rather stay away from those filesystems and go for ext2 directly, the maximum file size is 16GiB which is still more than enough for SD cards and regular USB flash drives.
