You may not like what I have to say, so you may want to skip my post. The problems we are currently facing in society are not solely the blame of the left or right but rather our inherent flaws as Human beings. While I am in agreement with you in finding bigotry to be rather uncouth and trashy, at the end of the day that person has as much of a right to hold and articulate their opinion as any queer person does to freely express their sexual orientation or sexual identity. The reason why I feel people may hold prejudice towards liberally inclined individuals such as those of the LGBT is because of the pushing of an agenda that aims to empower minorities, silence the privileged and enable the government to pass increasingly totalitarians laws that which bolster the power they can exert under the pretense of “Think about the children“ protecting minorities at the expense of our liberties of freedom of speech, freedom of expression and privacy.Minorities and social movements have been weaponized both by the left and right as tools to push the agenda of a select few by manipulating the masses. Most people you’ll find these days who hate the LGBT are those who have honestly begun to tire of the identity politics that has become pervasive in almost all facets of our lives. Even in the communities we participate in or games played there are people pressing their beliefs on other people when all we want to do is talk about Linux or play Final Fantasy XIV. Not talk about wars in foreign countries, the oppression of women and black people, or what gender you like or identify as. Those who do hold truly inreconcilable views of ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, handi-capability, or politics make up a very small minority of people whose views are generally held as backward and dated by the rest of society. There will be the obvious exceptions in countries that are more traditionally conservative but for the most part, people don’t really care about your quirks or political views.What they do care about is having these quirks or views forced on them and being told to stay quiet about how they feel about it, as it is not the proper thing to do in today’s society. They care about their freedom of speech getting progressively stripped away by the “woke agenda“ weaponizing cancel culture if the government hasn’t already arrested them yet for making an edgy joke on Twitter. Some of those people, like myself, don’t like the people blindly pushing for totalitarianism without even realizing it. Something I’m personally not all that keen on is how some communities become an echo chamber when saturated by LBGT or liberal-minded people that push for a sanitized safe space at the exclusion of those that are more conservative who may be made uncomfortable by it. When you start selectively vetting what speech or communication is allowed then you start molding the environment to consist only of like-minded individuals that reflect your own views or politics. That is precisely what happened in @thelinuxEXP ‘s Discord and Matrix community resulting in a space that is predominately transgender to the exclusion of anyone else. That’s not to say you need to be transgender to even be there, though it may as well when certain topics or views are made expressively taboo while those that align with their politics or worldview tend to get a pass. Freedom of speech and freedom of expression should be protected Human rights in equal measure. Regardless of whether you may have found someone’s opinion to have been unsavory, you can acknowledge it is as much of a right of theirs as it is your own. We should all be able to just sit down and engage in civil discourse on our differences in good faith irrespective of where we may fall on the cultural, political, or religious spectrum. Fighting intolerance with further intolerance only continues to extend the issue into perpetuity. Instead, we need to set clear boundaries and know not to overstep them forcing our beliefs onto other people. That applies not only to the LGBTQA+ but also to religious, political, and personal disputes. If people really want to make a difference in the world, then do so not by perpetuating the toxicity of shock and outrage culture but by cultivating a culture of tolerance where everyone can exist peacefully irrespective of their religious, cultural, or personal views. Some food for thought.

@elicin Sure! I was an an LGBT bar. A straight man drugged my drink, and followed me in to the bathroom and then when I was too drugged to fight him off anymore, forced his dick down my throat repeatedly. His words made it clear this was supposed to teach me to be straight.I lost consciousness, so I'm not sure what else he did.
