@nev @twizzt I'm sorry, I know neither the mite not the beetle!It's quite weird though, the mite seems to be touching butts with the beetle rather than attached with the mouth.Not sure, but that's what I get from the way the legs appear.Very cool observation!!

@nev @StrepsipZerg The mite had been IDd by Ron Ochoa (USDA ARS) as a Uropodina which apparently are known for being the only mites that attach by anal plates.
