       @pry /tmp is mapped to memory, so you don't need sbrk, you can just create a file of the desired size there

       @errante ah I think that defeats the purpose of shell. I can't think of a single good use of shell that isn't just gluing other stuff together imo

       @pry the most interesting thing ive done in shell is implementing arithmetic in a shell that has no such facilities i think, or a window manager (using a FUSE fs, not wmutils or raw x11 protocol calls)
