@MrEUser @manu beware of biased fediblock lists as anyone can pull whatever reasons they want out of their ass to slander whoever they don't like... i recommend referencing the block lists of mastodon.social and mstdn.social as these are the most popular servers and have reasonable moderation.

@manu If you are setting up a Mastodon server be sure to check out FediBlock lists. I was educated today by running in to what these things block…It’s a sick damned world.Free speech is great, but having to be on the receiving end of what some people think is acceptable…Protect yourself, you’re worth it.

@MrEUser Thank you! :-) I really didn't think about this one and will inform myself. The fact that everyone can set up Mastodon is good, but it also has its downsides, I suppose. Is there maybe anything else that you could recommend to me? Regarding administrating my Mastodon instance.

@manu One more thing. Mastodon in single user mode needs a MINIMUM of 2GB of RAM. I learned the hard way trying it on a 1GB plan... It didn't chooch so well.

@MrEUser @manu tbh this is what I was told in terms of resource requirements, I know pleroma and misskey can run minimally in comparison I don’t know as much about activitypub or mastodon but I bet other devs here do
