@BitterPill @deprecated_ii I was wondering if they’re smart enough to walk in it. Seems like the dumber ones would develop injuries from rolling it around 12 hrs a day, abrasion against their legs, twisting their joints….

@apropos @deprecated_ii @nameredacted @nugger I once had a misfortune of raising ~10 roosters at the same time because their cost was less than a pack of chicken stock cubes, and as a result of that I got to see rooster family slash prison culture. The biggest and meanest rooster used to wake up and crow before the dawn.The roosterpack also overthrew him and set up a new roosterchief who bullied the old one into depression so severe there was no future, he had to be executed.They also bullied a very stubborn stonecold truecel rooster who refused to back down, so I had to make a separate enclosure for him, and as soon as he got breathing room he acted even more boisterous and proud. When I say stubborn, I mean stubborn, one day he climbed up the coop, jumped on the fence, climbed further up, jumped onto the anti-hawk netting of the other enclosure, teared his way through just so he can fight again and get the shit kicked out of him again. This happened three times.This rooster also loved to crow all the time, from the moment he woke up to the moment he went to sleep, he was so annoying for the chickens that they stopped laying eggs because of the stress so he had to be executed early too.

@WashedOutGundamPilot @deprecated_ii The only "real" use I see for the chicken orb is that it's a bit easier to catch them out in the open if they try to run away, which isn't that useful anyway because they have a strong preference to stick with their own... This is just a mobile cage.
