       "It'll make no difference if you stop using Reddit, they won't care"It makes a difference TO ME. The internet as a whole seems to be sliding down the 'pay to play' rabbit-hole where the more money you have the more amplified your voice becomes. THAT WAS NEVER HOW IT WAS MEANT TO BE. If we don't take a stand then we lose the wonderful, democratic, open nature of the internet and descend into walled gardens policed by what investors value.

       Yes the VC model is ABSOLUTELY to blame. Seeing users as units of cash, trying to extract every last penny to make up for the RIDICULOUS VC demands of unlimited growth and market share with massively inflated valuations they have to justify. It's VILE

       Features on these platforms are no longer aimed at deligting users, they aimed PURELY at extracting every last penny from you, Cant pay? You have no value to them, can't pay enough to meeting their 'Income Per User' metric? THey don't want you anymore. You're no longer people you're a revenue source.
