I still remember Don Mattrick and the original vision of what the Xbox One was going to be. Always online, no real ownership over media, the push into fully digital. Everyone hated it yet here we are approaching that absolute reality.

@graf I love that when digital offerings were first pitched the biggest talking point was "buy offering digital versions we reduce retail cost by upwards of 20 to 30 percent due to cutting out pressing, shipping, and storage fees associated with retailers carrying the product and then pass the savings on to the consumer." Digital versions of 60 dollar titles were going to be 40 to 50 dollars. Now when a game launches at 70 dollars physically its digital version is also 70 dollars. It was always a lie.

@Jim The always online thing was such a stupid idea, if only Microsoft had just implement all digital, they probably wouldn't have had to back-down at all.The perpetual online DRM make it beyond obvious that the whole package was just a way to inconvenience costumers so they could make more money.

@Jim Yakuza 5 was also only digital here in the west back in 2015(3 years after the Japanese release), but that was done mostly as a test bed to see if there really was any interest in the franchise after the abysmal sales of Yakuza: Dead Souls.

Jim since you been on a streak of good games, get WARTALES, its a tactical game that doesnt hold you by the hand so you make crazy stuff work.I recently discovered you can own actual slaves into your party, whip the niggers so they work harder and actually kill them by whipping them too much, which makes everyone scared of the whip and work as if they have been whipped themselves. been playing it for the last 15 days, at a snail pace coz its that damn enjoyable.
