       I kinda want to build an algorithm for short form video that actually makes sense, instead of tracking useless engagement metrics, I rather track likes, and repost. The main goal would be if you like or repost a video the content tags for that video get higher ranked. The idea is a user could see this and also change how stuff ranks.

       @skymtf Isn't that the same issue we have with established social media networks, just less sophisticated?Controversial opinions/content will always gain more interactions than others. Therefore will get pushed more by the algorithm.

       @stanford the reason you base it on likes and repost and not engagement is blind to what a person wants, me watching a video I hate isnt out of the realm of possiblity, me liking/reposting a video I hate is not something I could see happening. Also it would be on a personalized scale, each person feed would be personalized and done on the client side.
