The BBC and Metoffice have way way different weather predictions here; yesterday they were both completely wrong about threatening rain and thunder and we didn't get a drop (it nuked Liverpool and chester instead?) . Metoffice is saying ~50% chance of rain around 3pm possibly with thunder, and then down to 10% cloudy rest of day; Beeb has a smooth distribution of chance upto 30% rain at 6pm with thunder and smoothing back down before and after. The predicted rain maps are vastly different.

@penguin42 For me here in East London, Apple weather app says moderate thunderstorm warning till 21:00 tomorrow (spoiler - not a cloud in the sky at the moment – well, maybe top-level haze actually) and BBC weather app saying sunny with rain likelihoods in the plus/minus teens but with the very high pollen which probably explains why I’ve had a constantly runny nose for the past 3 daysUp until 3 days ago it was thoroughly freezing here, sometimes having to put the heating on inside#weather

And the metoffice win! The rain started about 15:45 and is now pretty heavy and some rumblings but no visible thunder here; and a field full of soggy concert goers.
