@emma nekobit promised that treebird will be released at the same time as revolver. That holds up so far, but not in the way he had probably thought, which is a shame because the beta version of treebird is really nice

@emma It's a mix bag, in the case of sleepy cafe it was because sterence was tired of fixing pleroma every time it broke for no reason, fce and froth went down for a multitude of reasons, i think the last hack was just the straw that broke the camel's back, you can read some of it in here https://blog.froth.zone/sam/the-end-of-an-era, other places like silliness and bajax went down out of solidarity, i think. Like I said it's a mix bag, honestly the only fedi software I would try nowadays would be mitra, funnily enough I also wrote about this kind of "feeling" some people are getting and how it doesn't really make sense to me https://the.waifuism.life/posts/2023/05/ends/, I have been thinking of doing some data analysis on this since I don't think "the fedi is stagnating" whatever that means.

@waifu @emma I wouldn't say it is stagnating. It is just used by a specific audience. While this audience is diverse, it is different from other social media.I am leaving, mainly because of my dislike of the cons of social media. Fedi is not all that different from other social media. Well, it is, but the addictive main parts are here. Even if those were gone I wouldn't get as much value out of it. The pros do not outweigh the cons for me. My reason for leaving has nothing to do with the people within this platform.Anyway, nice perspective @waifu! Timely drama issues are often not worth the time or stress. Think beyond them. Will they still matter after some months? This idea is not mine, but Nietzsche's. I may finally be able start to take action, break free from escapism, and start working on things. I have often mentioned and tried such things. It is time to commit. The right time often does not come, so why wait?Good luck on your journey, and with Fedi! The world/time does not stand still.
