Just found it interesting how someone called me out for being a filthy Leninist recently, but they used a very old screenshoot. I always thought it was easy to see that Nazi Germany was the bad guy of the 20th Century, while the USSR was the main contribution to anti-colonial and anti-imperialist struggles. Apparently, some people think modern states like Latvia, Poland, Ukraine are the "good guys" and that teaming up with Franco and the fascist Portuguese state was a good thing.

It's always strange that these accusations would go against such a small and unpopular account like my own. This is modern day political organization: calling out an internet user that no one cares about in order to ignore actual fascism. Apparently I don't know anything about history... censor all left-wing dissent while allowing the far-right to make gains off popular discontent. We have to remember that the "Leninists" fought against fascism, while the Social-Democrats enabled the Friekorps.

Let them continue blocking the "filthy Leninists" and maybe they'll see what the actual anti-Communists get into. Hint: organizing people against Communists, using historical revisionism, and co-opting revolutionary leftist terminology doesn't lead to a better outcome. Maybe in a few years they'll be proud of their European ethnostate when they have to pay all their income to hyper-privatized goods offered at a markup by the US Empire.

@heap Who organized the first "concentration camps" though? When were they first labeled?

@heap @pleiades according to mainstream sources the soviet gulag system was started in 1930 and the nazi concentration camps in 1933. so no it was the soviet communists. 🤯

@heap What about the Solovki special camp set up in 1923 on the Solovetsky Islands? A bit earlier than the Nazi regime, isn't it?

@pleiades Sounds like you're just asking about prisons now. Remember that it was the socialists, Communists, Soviet POWs, and ethnic minorities who were victimized by the concentration camps, and it was the Soviet troops who later liberated them. Why is a prison revelant to this discussion when we have actual documented mass-extermination camps that led to the deaths of millions?

@heap Because you seem extremely biased regarding the political spectrum. "Concentration camps" were first coined in the USSR. It was Lenin who designed the original forced labor camp system, which Stalin continued (the Gulag was first established during Lenin’s rule in 1919, and by 1921 it already had 84 camps), and which was later imported by the Nazis as it was quite a profitable model back then. Mind that I despise both regimes, yet USSR managed to murder many more millions than the Nazis.

@pleiades You despise both, yet deem prison sentences as far worse than an actual genocide? The Stanford prison experiment and history of revolutions shows everything we need to see, but to paint years in jail with pay, medical care, even weekends off, and to say it's the same as being exterminated for something as simple as your Jewish mother is absurd. The Nazis replicated their counterparts in Italy, Imperial Japan, the British Empire, centuries of colonization, and American Indian schools.

@heap Dude what the hell are you talking about, it was not a "prison", but a whole system of forced labor camps where people were forced to work on extremely harsh conditions, often without food or clothes or anything. What the f*** are you talking about medical care, pay some respect to those who suffered there, or even better, get rid of your ideology and get to read some real testimonies of people who survived such extreme punishments, often for the mere reason of owning a effin cow (kulaks).

@pleiades After all, it was the Nazis who thought Jews are conspiring to take over the world, using Marx, Trotsky, Rosa Luxembourg as examples in their conspiracy theories. It was also the Nazis who refused to stop at simple prison sentences and instead moved to actual extermination. The USSR was a beacon of worker's rights following 1917, and led millions to their liberation. I didn't see anything like that occur with the rise of fascism, which Lenin warned about.
