@julienxx@fedi.9til.de more and more people use GoToSocial, it's said to be very lightweight but still alpha software. CalcKey is a Misskey fork with a compatibility layer for Mastodon clients. Misskey doesn't use that many resources and i expect CalcKey to be similar.i haven't tested either of these myself.

@julienxx@fedi.9til.de my misskey instance with one user uses around 650 mib ram and around 5 % of a 2.3 ghz intel cpu core.each of the 3 postgres connections use around 20-30 mib and redis another 20, both with negligible cpu utilisation.

@sigrid does it need a lot of resources especially db and disk space? My instance is on masto.host and db size is the culprit so far, always exceeding the small plans
