       > this will bring Vienna-Klagenfurt journeys down to 3h20m, a saving of 0h20mimagine building a new 120 km long railway line including 30 kilometer long tunnel to get shorten the trip by as much as 20 minutes

@huly i don't know really so the obvious benefit is that instead of Y-shape service alternating between klagenfurt and graz, you put vienna, graz and klagenfurt on a single line, but that is already asymmetric (bi-hourly to klagenfurt, hourly to graz), also obviously massively reducing travel times between graz and klagenfurt and beyond (like villach or italy), but whether any of it is actually worth the massive cost, i don't know?

@pony It will reduce Graz-Klagenfurt by a LOT more though. That's currently awful by train.Although: how many people will do Graz-Klagenfurt?

@jon someone, maybe? i haven't seen the timetable plans though, also i guess it's safe to assume that the trains to udine would then be redirected via graz, so, for graz, the benefits are clear
