       @NGIZero I remember just that day I was set to give a talk at the EU Young Entrepreneurs Awards (can't remember the exact name) for a startup for which we were starting to build Apps for my Solid Server. Sadly I could not get the other founder to change his presentation to adapt it to the circumstances and make a big case as I was about the importance of privacy. It turns out he really only wanted to build his centralised note taking tool. So we split ways a few months further down the road after  we missed out on an amazing opportunity to solve a real problem.

       @NGIZero Interesting use of the term "conscientious objector," usually referring to those refusing military service. But somehow it works...

       @michaelgraaf It is indeed interesting how it has that strong connotation. Let's hope having a conscience, and acting according to ones moral beliefs and personal ethics becomes a trend. We salute anyone that has shown the courage to stand up, speak out & act against surveillance, exploitation and other unethical behaviour - which comes with significant risks, as one is typically dealing with high stakes and unethical people almost by definition.
