       I see (and enjoy) a lot of satisfied commentary on the End of #Twitter and the rise of #Mastodon, and I’m very happy here. But if I’m honest, a great part of my former Twitter community is still there. Some of them tried Mastodon early and gave up quickly. None of them can be happy about Musk. Still — is there anything to be done?

       @JamesGleick I'm as guilty of this as anyone, but I think it's unhealthy for #Mastodon users to obsess over the #Twitter user base.  It's like being bitter over an ex.  Living well is the best revenge, as they say, so if Mastodon and its ecoverse continues to grow and improve then more people will undoubtedly follow.
