@TrevorGoodchild @ForbiddenDreamer @Shadowman311 The end of Empires mired by the use of absurd legal loop holes and petty procedural bullshit. My favorite example is Bibulus who served as Consul along with Caesar. The Senate could not conduct during religious holidays, so in order to block Caesar's policies he declared every single day the rest of the year to be a holiday. Caesar, who held the title of Pontifex Maximus, and as such was the religious head, simply ordered everyone to ignore his order. Later, Bibulus tried to block Caesar's appointments by declaring that no public business could be conducted whilst he observed the sky for omens. It worth nothing that Bibulus was the ultimate cuck politician whose every scheme was foiled in the most embarrassing way. When trying to denounce one of Caesar's bills, a crowd pushed him on the ground and threw shit all over him. When he was about to give his farewell address as Consul, the Senate vetoed him to stop him from speaking. The system still has a lot of inertia and we're not quite at Bibulus level buffoonery yet, but we are getting close to the day when Congress can't meet because they're observing the sky for omens.
