Okay now that Stux has fediblocked snowdin, I can safely call him a neoliberal hack whose opinions on a variety of topics always seem to align with the ruling Rutte government. He’s basically a libcuck who has a cowardly moderation doctrine. Makes sense.

@SuperDicq I’m being a little hyperbolic of course, but you look at any of his musings on politics or society and you’ll find that they’re not out of place in the VVD. He even implicitly supported present Dutch pension policy (implemented by the VVD!).I am unsurprised that Rutte is getting a VONC, the man has been in control for too long now.

@yassie_j@snowdin.town I don't understand how anyone younger than 67 can support the current pension policy.Our pension policy automatically scales with average life expectancy, by the time I will get to retire the expected retirement age will be 69.75 years old.

@hugot @SuperDicq we can actually collect the appropriate taxes that companies should be paying, but use the their so-called Dutch headquartership to avoid them.But primarily we should be aiming for a basic income for all persons, not just a pension scheme.

On top of that it probably lowers healthcare costs as work related stress is very bad for your health.Lowering the retirement age has another benefit, it get old people (who are usually in higher up positions) out of the workplace which makes space for young people giving them more career opportunities.
