Hey uh quick test do any of you have a system where /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/AMITSESetup-c811fa38-42c8-4579-a9bb-60e94eddfb34 exists and if so can you hexdump it, set an admin password in your firmware, hexdump it again and see if it changes? If it doesn't then that's good, if it does then that's bad. DO NOT POST THE HEXDUMP OUTPUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

@mjg59 On mine, that file changed a lot after I set a password. (Before: almost all 0s; after: bytes in the 2nd half of the file.)

@mjg59 Gigabyte H97N-WIFI mainboard (so old). Without password, the file is mostly nuls. With admin password, second half of the file has data.

@mjg59 Is this what you're after? The censored bit used to be all 00s but now it contains data. It's not the password I set at least!Gigabyte Z270 SLI PLUS (MS-7A59), firmware version 1.A0, dated 06/30/2018
