@realcaseyrollins I'd argue the computer and the TV are effectively the same product for most consumers.Tvs are just a type of video monitor, most have small app based computers attached to them.I'll suggest it will replace bluetooth wrist watches, that has very little market share in the general population.

@Pantangelini Interesting. The primary difference in my mind between the #TV and the computer is the human interface; computers use a mouse and keyboard, and TVs use remotes. Otherwise, yes, they're identical. Why do you think #VR headsets will replace the smartwatch?

@realcaseyrollins Businesses are not going to spend $3500 for computers that have to be adjusted to each user. Most people are not going to walk around with stupid looking goggles on just to talk on the phone. The tv has the best shot, but even with the tv, part of the enjoyment of watching tv and movies is watching with friends and family. The goggles mean everyone has to have a pair and even then they are too isolating to have an enjoyable experience.

@realcaseyrollins There best application would probably be a video game console. I could see them competing with the steam deck.

@realcaseyrollins option 4, none of the above. I doubt vr has a fiture for more than gaming. AR has decent chances but only in lightweight glasses form imo. Something like having floating nametags above peoples heads so you dont need to ask or information about something you are looking at, like identifying plants, etc

@shortwavesurfer2009 @realcaseyrollins seems like VR could be good for meetings, replacing zoom.

@realcaseyrollins @DavidB wow, i actually have used it. Once was a demo at a T-Mobile store with a samsung gear vr thing. Since it was my first time it was very disorienting coming back into the real world. My spacial awareness was screwy for a few minutes. Then i had google cardboard and google daydream which werent bad.

@realcaseyrollins I am pretty sure if they were going to go anywhere they would have by now. Time to cut our losses and start on holodecks.

@realcaseyrollins @bot @DavidB the big thing is weight. Every gram counts as time goes on. It hurts your neck wearing something like that for to long. It needs to weigh similar to eyeglasses.

@bot @shortwavesurfer2009 @DavidB I feel like this is going to be one of #Apple's best (but maybe not useful) first generation products ever. #MKBHD's first impression really made it seem like all those delays and the high price tag are gonna play in the product's favor
