       How old were you when you understood that you’re #ActuallyAutistic ? While I was 3 when I received my diagnosis, it wasn’t until years later that I knew what it was and even more until I had internalized what it meant. I used to think I was a sociopath because I could recognize that I was different than others, I just couldn't figure out how or in what ways. I now know how to recognize and avoid burnout and bad sensory experiences, which is literally life changing. I've been able to review my childhood and see my past self with more compassion and understanding. There's been a lot of healing going on lately.It sure would have been nice to have this knowledge earlier, but I'm so grateful to have it now. 💜
