       We can have self driving electric cars when we no longer need 90% of the vehicles currently on the road. Self driving and electric cars can only be a transition away from automobiles. We need more compact, walkable and bikeable cities with mass transit, busses, light rail, trolleys, funiculars, and airial tramways. Urban farms wouldn’t hurt either.
