       This #photo  taken by Jack Rosenzweig of a worker on the tower of the George Washington Bridge, was part of the Federal Project Number One, created with WPA funds in 1935. While many photos of the project were unsentimental and meant to show the gritty side of NYC; however, when I look at this photo I sense that it suggests a longing for brighter days...in a city of hope...#NewYork.December 22, 1936. #Photographer: Jack Rosenzwieg.
