       @quinta thank you for sharing this article that answered most of my questions about EVs. Still, I am convinced that the only way to truly reduce emissions is to dramatically improve public transportation so that people don't even need to own a car.

       @quinta interesting. For sure we need to reduce using private cars and to keep for longer our cars. On the other hand, I’m not sure that on average a car is replaced every 3 years (at least not in Italy I would say) and the energy spent to produce synthetic fuels could be used to produce batteries and to fuel them…  At the end of the day (simplifying a lot) what counts is the total amount of CO2 produced at the end of the lifecycle. 1/2

       @quinta So, even if building an EV could require 70% more energy than a traditional one, the impact at the end of the life cycle could be much less. Especially if you use green energy to produce and fuel the car. 2/2

       @quinta su 22 giorni lavorativi al mese, io devo andare in ufficio 12. Per farlo, prendo il portatile, lo carico in macchina e mi ci metto davanti esattamente come a casa. Abitando fuori città, vado in macchina. Cioè vado a inquinare per andare a mettermi seduto davanti a uno schermo. Forse il problema principale delle macchine più che la CO2 sono le accise, che tengono in piedi tutto il circo.
