       @adam The XY chromosome pair is typically associated with males. Females are typically born with two X chromosomes. However, there are some rare genetic conditions that can cause a female to be born with an XY chromosome pair. These conditions are known as intersex conditions and affect about 0.018% of the population¹.  We are talking about 60,000 people compared to 336 MILLION people (in the US).
