       It is reasonable for conference organizers to forbid remote speakers? I’m on a panel where one participant can’t attend, and the organizer expects me to “learn the part.”

       @Leonyin I would absolutely say no to the “learning the part” bit. I get why remote speakers can be hard given conference Wi-Fi / AV setups though.
