Yeah they pulled out France because the EU said cigarettes were too cheap and forced France to raise taxes on them lolFair warning, smoking Bruns is not like regular cigarettes, the blondes are closer to what American tobacco is. It's pretty harsh if you're not used to it.

It's caporal, which is a French blend of tobacco. I don't think I've ever had American Spirits, but I don't think you can really find an American equivalent. Part of the reason why I liked them is I knew people weren't going to get in the habit of bumming them off me.

@LouisConde I mentioned American Spirits because some of them are additive free organic tobacco and I assumed the bruns would be closer to that instead of being a blend. I guess it's worth a try.

French cigarettes historically used caporal, which is extremely dark and heavily roasted. It does smell and it's extremely harsh for people who have never smoked it before. Blondes were introduced to give people an option similar to what people in other countries conceive of cigarettes. It's very distinct.

Marseille is pretty but it's Algerian territory now much like much of the Côte d'Azur. I really like Avignon, Arles and Nice too. Lyon is pretty too. The countryside is mostly intact and doesn't have a lot of signs of immigrants, but it's been over 10 years since I was last there.
