@stannard Don't worry about learning more words... just sing the same line over and over. Hyper annoying for them!! 😂

@ericphelps That looks good.We dont get many, but the ones we get always seem to be at a bad time.We very rarely use our landline, but our doctors always insist on calling via withheld numbers on the pstn.We have FTTP and use an ATA just so a landline will work.Very tempted to cancel it.If my cell signal was better I would.

@stannard @ericphelps We have BT answer phone. If the number calling is not in the phone book, they have to state their name, and we can accept or reject the call.

@wyliecoyoteuk @ericphelps Not an option for me, as I would have to get a landline, Managed to swap to an IP phone a few years ago, never regretted parting company with BT.I think I can white list, but that would reject calls from our local Doctors who always use withheld numbers.

@stannard @ericphelps It is a BT badged answerphone, not a BT line, we have FTTP via Vodafone, and our phone is plugged into the router.

@wyliecoyoteuk @ericphelps I might try an analogue answerphone, Never thought of that, our landline rings on a very old POT for the noise really, then softphones.I will give your suggestion a try.
