@Twoinchdestroya @Owl @Saber @matty @n3f_X A week or so ago I saw something similar over Big Bend, Texas. It looked like an Airy disk. I'm not totally familiar with how they work, but most radar weather maps are a composite of the WSR 88D NEXRAD network. I wondered if it was some sort of gravity waves generated by a strong but small super cell, so I looked for this anomaly on an individual radar that it seemed to be centered over (sign DFX: weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?type=DFX-N0Q-0-6). There was a strong storm, but I don't think it was the source of the pattern. What's interesting is that you can still almost see the pattern on the highest tilt setting right now, despite the lack of any storms.This is well outside of my area of expertise, so I am totally speculating here, but my guess is that there are issues with certain radars. Perhaps there is something in them, or something blocking them on the landscape that sometimes can cause these weird patterns. So normally we don't see them, for instance, composite maps don't show the DFX pattern right now. The pattern is only visible with a high tilt setting, meaning looking high up into the air. But if there happens to be a strong storm near by, radar composite maps may include these higher altitude reflections to show the intensity of the storm, and then we get these weird patterns.

At sea level this is around 750 mph, and at higher altitudes is around 450 mph. So it might be worth checking to see how fast these storms were shifted by.One thought that I had was if there was a volcanic eruption somewhere whenever these videos were taken. A large eruption might be enough to cause shock-waves that travel around the world, possibly shifting storms.
