Sometimes man-made artefacts make for nice subjects too. There is something ruins-of-a-lost-civilisation-like about this corroded, weed-covered, barnacle-encrusted piece of concrete, surrounded by the sea.#photography #Scotland #sea

This is my favourite picturefrom yesterday: a grey heron (Ardea cinerea) wading in the sea. I love the stark contrast and the almost abstract character that the bright backlight gives.#photography #Scotland #sea #nature
